More stormy weather on the way today
February 9, 2016Israel can look forward to its first dry weekend in over three weeks.
Wednesday’s forecast however will see heavy rains during the day in the center and south of the country. The morning will be cloudy with light showers beginning towards mid day that by nightfall will turn to heavy rain with a chance of thunderstorms and hail.
Due to the rains there is the possibility of flooding in the central region and flash-flooding in the south.
Thursday’s forecast calls for a light rain in the north and along the coastal area. Later on in the day the weather will stabilize and the rain is expected to cease.
Warm weather will be coming for the weekend, bringing a rise in temperature and dryness.
Expected temperatures for Israel on Wednesday are 15° C in the Golan, in the northern mountains 12° C, in Nazareth 15° C, Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) 18° C, Haifa 17° C, Tel Aviv and coastal plain 17° C, Ariel 12° C, Jerusalem 11° C, Be’er Sheva 16° C, southern mountains 12° C, Dead Sea area 20° C, Eilat 21° C.
