Khamenei accuses US of infiltrating Iran with ‘money and sex’

November 26, 2015

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused the United States on Thursday of using “money and sexual attractions” to wreak havoc on the Islamic Republic’s way of life.

“The enemy sets up a network within a nation and inside a country mainly through the two means of money and sexual attractions, to change ideals, beliefs and consequently the lifestyle [in Iran],” he said in a televised speech to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard commanders.

Khamenei urged his fellow Iranians against falling into the “enemy’s trap,” noting that the authorities would treat the threat of American “infiltration” seriously.

Despite the nuclear agreement signed by Iran and world powers in July, relations between Tehran and Washington remain strained.

Shortly after the deal was ratified, the supreme leader said Iran was still at odds with the “arrogant” US over its Middle East policies.

Earlier this month, Khamenei ordered the Iranian government to implement a blockade of US imports as part of an outline for creating an “economy of resistance.”
