Katz calls to expel terrorists’ families, gets heckled
February 8, 2016Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) addressed Arutz Sheva‘s Jerusalem Conference on Monday morning, and laid out actions he said are required to quell the current wave of Arab terror – steps the government currently is not taking.
“We must expel the families of the terrorists. That will save lives. We have to find the means to create deterrence,” said the minister.
At that point Katz was met with calls from the audience as members of the crowd shouted out: “you’re in the government, why aren’t you doing that?”
Ignoring the calls, the minister said, “security comes before easing (the situation of) the Palestinians. If we want to win that means more than just defense. Rather (it requires) settlements. Another road and another junction, that’s the victory. Every additional resident is the victory.”
Katz then condemned the world for being hypocritical vis-a-vis Israel, saying, “there is great hypocrisy towards Israel. All of the organizations don’t boycott the products of Syria, Hamas or even the oil of Daesh (Islamic State). Only against Israel.”
He then attacked the EU decision to label Jewish products from Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights, saying, “we saw in Europe what happened after they labeled, and what they did to those who were labeled,” in a thinly-veiled reference to the Holocaust.
