IDF warns terrorists’ families of imminent demolition

February 5, 2016

IDF and Civil Administration forces on Thursday night handed out orders warning of the imminent demolition of seven homes of terrorists who conducted recent lethal attacks.

In Hevron a warning order was distributed to the home of the terrorist Ihab Masoudi, the murderer of Ganedi Kofman in a stabbing attack adjacent to the Cave of Machpelah. Kofman died of his critical wounds three weeks after the attack.

In Kalandia in Jerusalem’s north, orders were given on the homes of the terrorists Issa Assaf and Anan Hamad, who murdered Rabbi Reuven Biermacher in a stabbing attack at the Yafo Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City. Ofer Ben Ari was also killed in the attack, after being accidentally shot by security personnel as he tried to save Rabbi Biermacher.

Back in Judea, at Bayt Amra, an order was given against the home of the terrorist Abdullah Dais, who murdered Dafna Meir at the entrance to her home in Otniel.

In Shechem (Nablus) in Samaria, warning orders were given at the homes of the terrorists Bassam Saikh, Amgad Aliwa and Zid Amar, members of the terror cell that shot to death Rabbi Eitam and Naama Henkin on October 1 before the eyes of their children.

The families of the seven terrorists are expected to submit petitions to the High Court aided by radical leftist organizations, in a request to cancel the demolition orders. Past cases have dragged on for many long weeks, after which the homes have usually been destroyed – at least partially.
