Prayer Rally for Kidnapped Teens Held in Hevron

Hundreds attended a prayer rally for the safety of kidnapped teens Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Sha’ar, and Eyal Yifrah on Wednesday afternoon, in an event at the Cave of the Patriarchs also attended by Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi David Lau.

Rabbi Amram Yifrah, the grandfather of Eyal Yifrah, spoke briefly at the event, in an emotional expression of gratitude for the outpouring of love and support for the teens’ families.

“There is no one family in Israel; we are all one family,” the Rabbi stated. “I cannot tell you – the concerned phone calls [. . .] this does not happen in any other country on Earth. What unity; what heroism.”

“What merit (zechut) these boys have to have brought about the absolute unity of the people,” he added.

During the visit, Rabbi David Lau also made a statement of gratitude to the IDF soldiers still looking for the boys.

“The Jewish people admire you,” Lau said, to soldiers currently stationed in the city.

The public has been asked to continuing saying Psalms (Tehilim) 121 and 130 on behalf of the boys, whose Hebrew names are: Ya’akov Naftali ben Rachel Devorah, Eyal ben Iris T’shura, and Gil’ad Micha’el ben Bat-Galim.
