PA Arabs Launch New Terror Brigade, Promise Third Intifada

A video released on Friday shows a group of Palestinian Authority Arab terrorists announcing the formation of a new military brigade, which would start a new intifada (uprising) against Israel beginning in Hevron.

According to a report in the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency, the video, posted on YouTube, shows eight people covering their faces with scarves and holding a Quran.

One of the men then says the eight have established what is called “the National Unity Brigades”.

“We announce that our brigades include supporters of al-Yasin (Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmad Yasin), al-Yasser (Fatah leader Yasser Arafat), al-Shiqaqi (Islamic Jihad leader Fathi al-Shiqaqi), and (PFLP leader) Abu Ali Mustafa,” he says.

“Our brigades support the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas’ decision to announce a Palestinian state, and we will not cede a grain of sand of the Palestinian land from the sea to the river.”

“Our message to the whole world and to the Zionist enemy is that our brigades declare the beginning of a third Palestinian Intifada from the heart of [Hevron] to extend to the rest of Palestine,” the speaker says.

“You should know Zionists that if you detain our people, we will kidnap your soldiers, and if you kill our people, we will kill. We will use an iron fist against you using all the power we have if you don’t bring an end to this arrogance against our Palestinian people.”

PA Arabs have rioted and attempted to carry out terror attacks in Hevron and throughout Judea and Samaria in recent days.

The latest terror incident occurred late on Thursday night when members of an IDF unit stationed near Hevron shot an Arab terrorist as he prepared to throw a firebomb at them.

Arab reports claimed that the terrorist was seriously wounded and taken to hospital in the city.

Earlier on Thursday, terrorists threw a firebomb at an IDF position in the city. There were no injuries or damages.

Palestinian Authority Arabs rioted Thursday in Hevron, where they hurled rocks and bottles at Israeli soldiers. IDF troops responded with mob control methods that included the use of tear gas.

There were no reports of serious injuries, according to local sources, who said that nearly a hundred protesters had attempted to storm the IDF troops.

The Arab rioting occurred several hours after a female officer shot and killed a 17-year-old PA Arab terrorist who pulled a gun on Border Police officers near Hevron.

A police sapper who arrived subsequently to check out the gun determined that it was a fake gun.
