New Photos of Liberation of Dachau Revealed

Sixty eight years after the conclusion of World War II, never before revealed color photos of the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp have been discovered. The photos were published on the Vintage Everyday site.

The photos show the camp as it was when it was liberated by Allied forces at the end of the war. The photos portray prisoners of the camp at the time of liberation, along with American soldiers. Bodies of dead victims are seen as well.

The Dachau concentration camp was liberated by American soldiers on April 29, 1945. The site did not disclose the source of the photos.
