‘Kill hope for Palestinian state’

Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home) expressed his satisfaction Thursday with the instruction issued by Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman not to hand over terrorists’ bodies to the Palestinian Authority (PA), but stressed that defeating terrorism requires additional measures.

Israel needs “to kill the hope” that Arabs have, for the establishment of a Palestinian state. “There are no two states for two nations,” he added. “There is one state for the Jewish people.”

Ariel told Arutz Sheva that he sees Liberman’s instructions and statements as proving that he is “striding in the right direction.”

The change is good but is not enough, he said. “The instructions for firing at suspects in Judea and Samaria need to reflect the precept that says: When someone approaches in order to kill you, kill him first.”

“There needs to be a proper Zionist response” to terror,” he added. “Wherever they are trying to uproot us, we must settle with greater force. We should build thousands of units now in Judea and Samaria.”
