The Jewish Home has launched its campaign song – “We’re Brothers.”
The song was composed by Eyal Cohen, who was a finalist in the last season of “The Voice,” a television musical reality show featuring singing talents.
Singing the song alongside Cohen is Ofir Ben Sheetrit, who also reached the finals of The Voice.
The lyrics were written by Jewish Home campaign manager Moshe Klughaft. They are inspired by the slogan “Bennett is a brother,” which has accompanied Bennett since he began running for leadership of the Jewish Home. It also includes the slogan “no more apologizing,” which Bennett has been using in recent weeks.
We are brothers
Once again, there is a simple love between us / here is the memory of where we came from
And here again, the laughter of children / we’re not apologizing anymore, we are brothers
Here, again, is that open, hidden connection / here is a present that recalls it has a past
Thousands of years, the clock hands meet / we’re not apologizing anymore, we are brothers
Chorus:
Because we are all Father’s children / He connects the chambers of the heart
The Jewish Home, a door opens / we are brothers
Here, again, is the sparkle in the eyes / the prayer has returned to the lips
a brother was born to me, we’re so alike / we’re not apologizing anymore, we are brothers
Here are the road signs we lost / the seams we tore are reconnecting
and if you gave your life for me / how can we apologize? We are brothers.
Chorus
