IDF Soldiers Bust Terrorists in Northern Samaria

IDF soldiers with the Netzach Yehuda Brigade on Sunday night discovered two Arab extremists who were planning to carry out a terror attack. They were caught next to the town of Enav in northern Samaria.

Several of the platoon’s soldiers were on patrol near the town, observing the area from a guard tower. Other members of the platoon arrived in the area, with several soldiers observing suspicious activity by the men. The suspects were observed carrying several objects, which turned out to be pipe bombs, firebombs, a can of diesel fuel, face masks, and a flag of the Popular Front terror group. The terrorists were arrested, and in an initial interrogation, they admitted that they were on their way to carry out a terror attack.

Speaking for the soldiers, platoon leader Telem Hazan told Arutz Sheva that he was “very happy we were able to prevent this attack. We have reinforced our presence in the area to ensure that this does not happen again. Our soldiers were on alert and they acted wisely in arresting the terrorists, especially in light of recent terror attacks,” which had many similarities to the procedures these terrorists were following, he said.

We cannot and will not fail to carry out our mission. The enemy must know that we are always on alert,” he added.
