Fatah, the Palestinian Authority’s ruling party, has thrown all caution to the wind and praises terrorists on its new and official Facebook site despite increasing U.S. Congressional concerns over incitement. The site also shows all of Israel being labeled as “Palestine.”
The United States doled out $150 million to the Palestinian Authority last year and temporarily suspended the aid following the PA’s successful application for membership on the United Nations agency UNESCO. Several Congressional leaders have threatened to cut off all funding if the PA, headed by Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas, does not honor previous commitments to halt all incitement against Israel.
The Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported and translated on Tuesday Fatah’s latest and official Facebook page, which features the pictures of eight terrorists who carried out the 1975 attack on Tel Aviv’s Savoy Hotel, killing eight civilians and three soldiers.
The text appears under the headline “The Tel Aviv operation, March 6, 1975. The Palestinian passage to the homeland.”
Underneath each terrorist’s picture, a caption states “The heroic Shahid (Martyr)” and is followed with the murderer’s name.
