Documents Stolen from Atomic Commission Worker

The senior Prime Minister’s Office employee whose documents were stolen in a home break-in has been identified as Dr. Shaul Horev. Dr. Horev is  a member of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission.

The bag the thieves took contained a wallet, as well.

It was revealed Tuesday that Horev and his wife were at home and awake when the robbery took place. The two were talking in the kitchen at around 9 p.m. on Sunday when they heard a noise. When Horev walked out to see what had caused the noise, he realized his bag had been taken.

He reported the theft immediately. Police are conducting a manhunt for the robber.

Horev said the documents taken did not include classified material that could pose a threat to Israel’s security. He also stated that, in contradiction to initial reports, no computer was taken in the theft.
