Biden to address J Street’s annual gala

Vice President Joe Biden will address J Street’s annual gala next week, The Washington Post reports, marking the second time he has spoken to a national gathering of the organization.

The gala dinner will take place on Monday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m., and will bring together more than 900 supporters of J Street.

J Street prides itself as being “pro-Israel” and “pro-peace,” but many, if not most, Jewish constituents believe that the organization actually undermines the interests of the State of Israel and Jewish people. Numerous Jewish leaders and organizations have publicly disassociated themselves, altogether, from J Street’s rhetoric and policies.

J Street has endorsed terror groups and one of its co-founders has even claimed that Israel’s creation was “an act that was wrong.”

The group has also hidden the fact that it receives hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding from Pro-Palestinian Authority billionaire George Soros, who once said Israeli and American policies fuel anti-Semitism.

Two years ago, the controversial lobby group was overwhelmingly rejected for admission to America’s most prestigious and mainstream Jewish body, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

J Street describes itself as an alternative to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). Biden recently addressed the AIPAC policy conference, where he angered some by taking aim at Israel’s “settlement policies”

J Street, which will meet at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, will also honor Ambassadors Samuel L. Kaplan, Louis B. Susman and Alan D. Solomont, according to The Washington Post.

Stav Shaffir, a Knesset member for the Zionist Union party, will also speak at the event.
