An 8-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a bus in Jerusalem’s Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.

A Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic that arrived at the scene described how “A boy of about 8 years of age was lying on the side of the road near a bus and a bicycle.”

“The boy was unconscious, without a pulse and was not breathing.”

Witnesses present at the scene described how the boy was hit by the bus. Paramedics evacuated the young boy to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in the northeast of the capital, where doctors declared his death.

Shortly afterward, it was reported that 40-year-old man was killed in a car accident on Route 65 near the Golani Junction. A 7-year-old boy who was severely injured in the crash was evacuated to Rambam hospital in Haifa via an MDA helicopter.
