Woman killed in accident in Har Hevron

A woman in her 40s was killed on Thursday night in a head-on collision between two vehicles near the village of Shim’a, located in Har Hevron.

The woman was initially listed as critically injured in the accident, but paramedics who were called to the scene pronounced her dead after prolonged resuscitation efforts.

Five other people were injured in the crash, among them one seriously, three moderately and one lightly. The paramedics who were called to the scene provided medical care to the victims. They were later evacuated to the Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva.

The road has been closed to traffic.
