Three Soldiers Killed in Gaza

Three more IDF soldiers were killed fighting Hamas in Gaza on Wednesday, the IDF Spokesperson’s Office announced.

Lieutenant Paz Eliyahu, 22, from Evron, served in the Paratroopers’ Brigade. Eliyahu’s funeral will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday at the Evron cemetery. 

Sergeant First Class Li Mat, 19, from Eilat, also served in the Paratroopers’ Brigade. 

Sergeant First Class Shahar Dauber, 19, from Kibbutz Ginegar. Dauber’s funeral will be held at 11 am Thursday at the Kibbutz cemetery. 

The funeral of Sergeant First Class Daniel Pomerantz, who was killed Sunday, was also announced Wednesday night. Pomerantz will be buried at 6:00 pm Thursday in Kfar Azar.

In addition, the IDF announced that two soliders were seriously injured, ten moderately injured, and twenty lightly injured during ground clashes in Gaza over a 24-hour period. 

Thirty-two soldiers and officers have been killed since the ground offensive for Operation Protective Edge was announced six days ago.
