Israeli Politician Ayelet Shaked

Ayelet Shaked (Hebrew: איילת שקד, born 7 May 1976) is an Israeli politician. She is the former chairwoman of My Israel, and was elected as member of the Knesset for the Jewish Home in the 2013 Knesset elections, and currently holds fifth place on the party’s list.
Biography
She grew up and lives in the Bavli neighborhood in Tel Aviv. Her mother was a teacher of Tanakh in Tel Aviv and her father was Masorati (traditional). She said that every Saturday she would go to synagogue and make kiddush. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University. Shaked later entered the army and served in the Golani Brigade. Shaked is married to a combat pilot and has two children.
Between 2006 and 2008 Shaked worked as an office manager for Benjamin Netanyahu, who was serving then as leader of the opposition. In 2010, together with Naftali Bennett she established the My Israel movement, which she led until 2012.
In June 2012 Shaked announced her plans to compete for a place on the Jewish Home for the 2013 Knesset elections, together with Naftali Bennett. On 14 November 2012 she was elected in the party’s primaries to the third place.
Shaked is the recipient of the 2012 Abramowitz Israeli Prize for Media Criticism.
Tenure
In 2013, Shaked was elected as an MK on The Jewish Home list. In her first speech in the Knesset as an MK, Shaked called on U.S. President Barack Obama to release Jonathan Pollard.
