Hamas’ naval unit claims it has captured a dolphin spying for Israel, according to a report published Wednesday by the Palestinian Al Quds newspaper. The report stated that naval commando divers of the Hamas’s Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades military brigade captured a dolphin carrying surveillance equipment several weeks ago.

The dolphin was “behaving suspiciously” Hamas said, and was brought to the Gaza shore to be examined.

The Al Quds report further stated that Hamas military experts are now testing the device that was attached to the dolphin and have discovered that it can fire arrows. This proves, according to the terror organization, that Israel wants to hurt the Hamas naval unit and spy on its naval operations.

According to the Iranian Fars news agency’s account of the events, Hamas seized an Israeli-made robot dolphin equipped with espionage equipment, remote-control equipment and video-recording cameras. The news agency also added bullets to the dolphin’s armory.

Hamas released a warning to its members to be cautious of further encounters with dolphins.

It is not the first time that a terror organization has accused an animal of spying for Israel.

In 2013, Hezbollah accused an Israeli eagle of committing espionage. The Hezbollah- affiliated Al-Manar TV claimed that the eagle was one of many birds sent by Israel to spy and gather information via GPS transmitters across the Middle East.

In 2012, an eagle with an Israeli tag was captured in Sudan and touted as a Mossad spy.

In 2011, Saudi Arabia apprehended a vulture, accusing it of being an Israeli spy because of a GPS device with the suspicious “Tel Aviv University” tag on its leg. The vulture was eventually freed.

Egypt likewise accused the Israeli Mossad espionage agency in 2010 of deploying attack sharks on its shores.

Somewhere in some underground Hamas lair is some poor dolphin chained to a wall being interrogated and tortured. They tried waterboarding it but it actually enjoyed it.
