France Train Hero Stabbed in Sacramento
October 8, 2015Spencer Stone, one of the three Americans who heroically stymied a terrorist attack on a French train in August, is in stable condition after being stabbed near Sacramento, a senior Pentagon official told Fox News.
The Air Force Times reported that Stone was stabbed four times in the chest early Thursday.
“A1C Spencer Stone has been transported to a local hospital, and is currently being treated for injury,” an Air Force spokesman said, according to the report. “The incident is currently under investigation by local law enforcement.”
Stone, a Sacramento State University senior, and two friends – National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler – were on the Amsterdam-to-Paris train in late August when a gunman started to open fire. The three charged the gunman and subdued him.
