Finally: Security Forces Demolish Homes of Two Terrorists
October 6, 2015Security forces destroyed the homes of two terrorists overnight Monday/Tuesday, following an emergency Cabinet meeting in which Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu demanded legal leeway to enforce measures against terrorist murderers.
The homes of two of the terrorists were slated to be destroyed nearly one year ago, but were held back due to diplomatic red tape.
Among them:
- Mohammed Jabis, who drove his tractor into a Jerusalem bus, overturning it and killing a yeshiva student. Jabis carried out the attack in August 2014; while his home was slated to be destroyed in November, the US State Department claimed the move was “counterproductive,” and the demolition apparently never materialized.
- Ghassan Abu Jamal, one of the terrorists who massacred Jews in Har Nof in November as they gathered to pray the Shacharit morning service. While the Supreme Court upheld demolition orders against the Jamal home in December 2014, the demolition also never materialized.
In addition, the IDF sealed the home of Mu’taz Hijazi, who attempted to assassinate Temple Mount prayer rights activist and current Likud party member Yehuda Glick.
The High Court suspended the demolition ordered against Hijazi’s home in December, leaving MKs fuming.
